Thanks for taking some time to check out this very new part of my life. I started reading blogs in high school when I was just beginning to navigate my real interests and hobbies and I quickly fell in love with them! Peanut Butter Fingers was the first blog I started to read religiously and is still one I love to catch up on to this day. The desire to blog came quickly but I figured no one would want to read a blog by a high schooler so here we are 6 years later!
I hope this blog can be a place where I can express my thoughts and daily musings and encourage others to do so as well. I liked the name Living Purposefully because I truly do feel like (most of the time) I do things in my life with a purpose. It may not always be a huge, monumental, life-changing purpose, but knowing that there’s a reason for what I’m doing helps make life a bit easier and more enjoyable.
So to give a little backstory about me, I think I should share that I am a HUGE lover of all things fitness and health. I have been working out consistently since I was about 16 and I never looked back. I will probably mention my workouts here and there on the blog because I have had some people ask what I do, how I do it, how I stay in shape and still enjoy treats, etc.! Cooking healthy recipes is also a big hobby of mine so there will be plenty of those typed out as well. That being said, I am also a biiiiig advocate for treatin’ yo self and will be sprinkling in totally unhealthy dessert recipes/whatever delicious meal I ate at a restaurant because life is too short to not enjoy a treat every once in awhile 🙂
Now for the last but definitely not least part of this “Get to Know Me” thing, as for my career, I am a full time preschool teacher and have been so for almost an entire year! I spend the majority of my days surrounded by 16 four and five-year-olds, so forgive me if I mention what Disney movie you guys should go see or what funny thing my students said that day (I’m convinced that children are the greatest mood lifter and easiest way to put a smile on your face).
I just want to say “thank you” for reading thus far and I hope you all enjoy stopping by here every once in awhile!
